As of Dec. 15, most of the free agents who signed deals over the summer will be eligible for relocation, with a select few others (sup, Nikola Mirotic?) joining the fold on Jan. 15. Though freshly signed pacts aren’t always at the center of negotiations, the rumor mill reaches fever pitch for everyone, both staples and newcomers, given the wider scope of options available to buyers and sellers.
Hardwood Knocks has called upon Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes (@gt_hughes) to help us through the speculative bunk. He discusses which players are most likely to be traded and where they might be headed, in addition to providing some other ancillary players and teams to keep an eye on as we near February’s deadline.
Marc Gasol, Deandre Jordan and all the usual suspects are here, but Grant and Dan stray off the beaten path as well, diving down rabbit holes of conjecture that lead them to Kemba Walker and Paul George, among others.
Finally, because Hardwood Knocks loves you all, we wrap things up with an extensive mailbag at the end—a segment shaped, and defined, and made possible at all, by you, our loyal listeners.
